The opening track of Falle Nioke’s upcoming LP, Love from the Sea, sets the tone for what is sure to be a sonic tour de force. “Falle Le Le Le” lays out the Guinea-born, UK-based Nioke’s vocal prowess as he sinks his teeth in (or tongue, more appropriately) and doesn’t let go. Produced by Mercury Music Prize-winning Mike Lindsay (of Tunng), the track’s beat is sparse enough to allow Nioke’s vocals to shine, and its start-and-stop arrangement keeps the song fresh throughout.
